Battery

Basically there are 2 (two) types of battery: Dry Battery & Wet Battery.

Dry battery is a massive battery such as common battery using for mobile phone or for radio tape recorder. This type also available for motorcycle or car but in a very limited models and brand. Also its price is 'very' expensive rather than wet battery.

Wet battery is widely using for car. There are three sub types of these battery: common battery, hybrid battery and Maintenance Free (MF) Battery.

Battery is a one of the important things to avoid car get sudden breakdown. Therefor please visually inspect the battery to make sure connections between the cables and terminals are tight and there is no sign of corrosion. When you find something like white powder in the terminals please clean it with hot water and let it be dry before starting the car.

Also please check the water level of the battery regulary. once you find the water is in minimum level, immediately add aquades untill the level reach almost maximum one. Never allow add aquades water exceed maximum level because it could make chemical contents (H2SO4) too liquid and make the battery could not work properly.

Other important thing to maintain the battery always in good condition is minimum one time in a week the car should be started for 5 minutes.

Proper maintenance of the battery could make the battery still in good serve for 3 (three) years.

Steering : Vibration

If you have steering vibration while you are driving, even it is a little vibration, one of following factor could be causing it:
- tire condition : shape condition is there any bump or not, is it already bold or not, has it expired or not.
- unsymmetrical racing velgs : it could be occured when we had replace original velg with a racing type in the past.
- un balllancing wheels
- breakdown parts such as : ball joint, long tie road.

To avoid any unexpected driving result, please bring your car immediately to the service point.

Tire : Expiry Date, Tire Marking, Rotation

Usage of improper tire could be resulting a dangerous matter happened...there are some information we should know about the tire to avoid such bad things:

1. Expiry Date of tire
Tire has also an expiry date although it is depend on the quality of the tire it selt. Basically maximum usage periods for the tire is 3 years after its production date. Even the tire absolutely new from the tire shop but if it has already stored there within 3 years, so the tire could be categorized as an expired tire...Why? it is because of the age of the rubber as raw material of tire maximum has good sthrength within 3 years. After that the rubber will loss its strengths and also loss its flexible features.

We could know when the tire produced by the manufacturer by seeing its production code stated in every tire. Please check one side of the tire carefully and look at the number code inside the oval circle mark. The production code is comprising of 4 numbers digit. The first two digits is mentioning the week when the tire produced and rest of two digits is mentioning the production year. For example if you find the number of 1808 it means the tire produced in the week of 18th of 2008 (arround April 2008).

Tips: when you would like to buy tires please check the code to avoid receiving an expired tire. Ask the really new one tire to the vendor.

2. Tire Marking
When we check one side of the tire we could find easyly marking code such as 195/50 R16 V what does it means?...the number of 195 means tire width is 195 mm and its height is 50% of its width. So its height is 50% x 195 mm = 97.5 mm. R16 means rim diamater suitable for the tire is 16 inch. The last mark 'V' means maximum speed allowed for the tyre is 240 km/hr while S for max 180 km/hr, T 190 km/hr, H 210 km/hr, W 270 km/hr, Y 300 km/hr and Z could be applied for the car which run over 300 km/hr.

3. Rotation Mark
Some tires categorized as anti aqua planning tires has arrow rotation mark. Never let the tires set opposite with this marking because this kind of tire is designed to sweep the water on the road when it is rain. The opposite setting will make the tire collecting the water and make the car likely flying on the water.

Tires and steering, battery, oil, brake, cooling system

Whenever and where ever you would like to go, your car will always be accompanying you. No matter it is a midnight and no matter the weather is extremely bad outside...your car will always follow your order to go to everywhere you wanna go, always and will always on...except one thing not happening: the car is out of service!

Unfortunately, more than 95% car owner do not know technical matter of the car event it is a simple one. All they know just follow the manual book and bring the car every 5.000 km to change engine oil and get little maintenace service...only that.

Most of them will be in the panic situation when they find the car suddenly breakdown. they have not enough knowledge why was it happened and also do not know what to do to handle the problem.

Actually we could avoid any trouble with our car if we regularly check our car and its important component to know whether it is needed a replacement or not. There are some items of our car should be regularly checked such as : tires, battery, oil/lubricants, brake, cooling system, steering etc...
